Review: Avengers: Endgame

My little brother and I watched Avengers: Endgame today and if you're wondering if our divided feelings, opinions and patient commitment on some of the MCU films that came out over the years prior to this just let me tell you; it's worth it. This isn't a movie, this is an event akin to a monarch’s coronation. I saw the first three origin movies (Iron Man, Captain America and Thor) on the big screen when they all came out but I never thought it would lead us to this. Sure, Marvel made some changes to the tone of their movies, making them more comedic and entertaining to give it the old success formula but there's something special about Endgame as it's a final swan song for some of the characters we've come to know and love.

The film starts with Clint Barton a.k.a. Hawkeye (who was nowhere to be found during Infinity War) spending time with his family, all of whom turning to dust after the snap. Fast forward five years and we get a glimpse of everyone who survived the snap all trying to move on without any real closure. Scott Lang returns to the real world after being stuck in the quantum realm and that's where the movie really picks up.
